Being domestic and stuff...

Emme has decided to go as Dorothy from The Wizard Of Oz this Halloween.
We have the dress, but cannot find the famous ruby red slippers in her size anywhere.
Why does my beloved Target think that only toddlers would want to wear glittery red shoes?
Emme thinks that having ruby red slippers is a absolute must to complete her costume. And since we're having no luck finding the fancy glittery footwear in question, I had to improvise. Me?? Improvise?? Oh the horror!

Well... with one pair of old summer crocs, a can of red spray paint, and a bottle of glitter later...

I came up with these.
I know, the people out there who make their own costumes from scratch are saying "clap...clap...whoa big whoopie doo" but I'm not y'all and I'm proud of the way these turned out. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping the glitter doesn't fall completely off while Emme is out trick-or-treating come next Friday...
Look at me! It's taken 9 years of marriage, but I'm finally on the path to being all domestic and stuff!
