Icky icky it makes me sicky

I spent most of the early afternoon cleaning my upstairs today. There are only three rooms upstairs. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. First was the bathroom. I am proud to announce that all blue stains left from of our run in with Agent Cool Blue has been officially bleached to death! Holla!
Next was Clee's room. Quick and easy, due to the fact that all he has is his bed, bedding, dictionary, and two toys in there.
Finally Emme's room. You would think that Emme being 8, she would clean her room all by herself, right? So wrong. I really can't complain though, she likes to collect things that aren't necessary. When she's gone, I can come in and trash everything that needs to be disposed of. Reminds me of cleaning my moms house back in the day. Hey mom. I was on a roll, trashing and cleaning when I got to her desk. What. A. Mess. Seriously, you name it, she had it stowed away in that thing, but that didn't prepare me for what I would find in the last drawer. I found a yellow piece of food wrapper, inside? What was left of an old moldy McDonalds cheeseburger.

I am so under appreciated...

I hope you didn't throw away the cards that I and great grandma have sent her she was trying to keep. She wondered where the others had gone when I was there. Let her keep some things mom don't be like my Dad who would throw out all of our toys and any keepsake we had every time we moved and we moved a lot. Which is probably why I'm such a packrat. Word to the wise.

Oh, that is sooooo funny!

It was a tradition during Taylor's grade school years that on the last day of school, while he was gone, I would clean his room! REALLY clean...and remove all the accumulated trash from the school year. I always carried out a couple of huge garbage bags full! He always said he couldn't believe how big his room looked! ha-ha!
And..he never missed a thing I threw out!

So is it the age or a girl thing? Amanda collects what I call 'crap' as well. Just like you I clean it all out when she's gone. I've decided she can have one drawer for her 'carp' that's it. She know knows if I find anything in any other drawers I am allowed to trash it. What she doesn't know is I still go through the 'crap' drawer, just not as picky anymore.
