I ain't 'fraid of no ghosts

As parents, Fiel and I think it's vital that we introduce our children to the movie classics we grew up on. Who doesn't, right? That's what every caring parent that wants their children to succeed in life thinks. Yes, I'm saying that watching classics like Flight Of The Navigator, Newsies, Back To The Future, and Honey I shrunk The Kids, will determine if your child has a bright and happy future. Why dance around the truth? You had to hear it from somewhere...

Last night, we sat together as a family and watched Ghostbusters. Andrew was in awe. I knew he would be. This sort of emotion is typical for Andrew when he sees dudes in uniforms, blasting things, and the awesome theme song is just the icing on the cake.

Today the Ghostbusters theme song fills our home. Emme and Andrew dance around pretending to blast "ghostes" {Andrewism}.

As of right now, Andrew is obsessed with this:

Wants to be one of these:

Requesting I find him a costume that looks just like one.

Has vowed to never consume one of these ever again:

I think he will change his mind about that last one when he finds out I'm making rice crispy treats for dessert tonight.

ps: This movie makes the perfect excuse for randomly blurting out "bustin' makes me feel good" in case you're ever wondering.

I love that you watched this with your kids! The "classics" are SO important.
P.S. I hear that there is another Ghostbuster movie coming out...

It was only a matter of time before Andrew found his new obsession. I'm glad he settled on a classic tale such as this. Good luck finding that costume, ps.

You two are such amazing parents. Introducing the classics early. Wow. I, too, am introducing the classics. I made my girls watch Steel Mags recently. They loved it!

Today as I was chillin with your child. Andrew of course, I asked him if he liked Ghostbusters. He said "How did you know!" I told him that I know everything ha. Then he told me ALL about the movie and how all the ghosts looked. He is such a crack-up!
