nutah: liberty park

Liberty Park will forever hold a special place in my heart. When I was little, we would walk or ride bikes to the park weekly. We would ride the paddle boats, ride the ferris wheel and carousel, feed the ducks, and teeter on the teeter totter, and slide down the old enormous slide. As a teen we would ride our bikes around and around the park and watch the cute skater boys do their tricks. Every year we would sit out on 700 east to watch the fireworks on the 24th of July (utah holiday).
When I was preggers with Clee, Emme and I would take a walk around the park every morning followed by playtime on the new playground. She would only slide down the big slides if I went down with her. Can you imagine me being 9 months pregnant, sliding down any slide? It was a sight to be seen...
Since moving away, I try to make it a point to go to Liberty at least once while we visit. We managed to go with my dad this time. Memories of Emme and Clee as little babies flooded my mind while we were there. Everything I saw triggered up some memory of my tiny babies. I loved that. I love liberty park.
