celebrating 7 years of mr. Clee

Clee turned 7 years old this past Monday. His 7th year began with many firsts for him.
This year he went along to the party store to choose his party theme, and he did so in delight. He didn't waste any time finding the Cars decor. This was the first time he has showed any desire in picking out his own party theme. It was fun to share that experience with him.

With the Cars theme selected it was time to plan the cake. After a much disastrous cake making fail by yours truly, Walmart {yes walmart... sigh} came to the recuse with this cute little cake just for him. It was adorable!

Itty bitty cuteness!

Big smile during Birthday song. A very big first for Clemon.

Emme with cake all over her face. Not so much a first for her...

On to opening presents. This was a huge accomplishment. Clee has never {never!!!} expressed any desire in unwrapping gifts, or in the gift itself in Birthdays and Chistmas' past. This year marked a enormous first. Not only did he open the gifts on his own, but he also showed somewhat of an interest in it's contents, more so then the paper it was wrapped in.

Major.

We were all stunned and overjoyed.

The candy was a success. This boy is a fool for sugary goodness.

With three free games of bowling coupons burning a hole in my purse pouch, I got the brilliant idea to take Clee bowling for his actual Birthday. It was something I knew he would enjoy, and the siblings too. No one was very good. Even with the bumpers, they were bad. Was that mean? Ha. It's true, but they all had fun anyway. Clee did this awesome little victory run back to his seat every time he went to bowl. Emme and I got such a kick out of it. I'll post the video soon. You won't be disappointed.

Clee has been labeled as the families ice cream snob. Seriously. He will only eat ice cream if it's from an ice cream shop, birthday cake flavored, cream colored, and comes in a cup with the ice cream shops logo on it. Sheesh loueesh. Emme has bee telling me that we had to take him to his favorite ice cream place, Cold Stone for his Birthday. Who am I to disagree? Cake batter ice cream? Well don't mind if I do...

Clee's Birthday was a success. He had fun. We had fun. Seven cheers for our Clemon!

For those {mom} who would like to see the Birthday boy opening gifts in action, please focus your attention to the lower video and push play. And like always, enjoy.

I love all the pictures! Clee has the most handsome smile. And how fun that he was able to open presents, I noticed he did a great job opening dana and andy's gift this weekend too.
