We took advantage of the nice weather today by taking a spontaneous late afternoon trip to Hogle Zoo.
"Hoo"gle zoo if you want to pronounce it like Emme.

Allow me to tell you the real reason for this spontaneous trip: to see the newish baby elephant and man was she cute.

Geezuh, I have some good looking kids... uh what were talking about? Oh yeah, the zoo. Moving on.

... what? Like you never let your kids stick their heads in a lions mouth. Well I'm not buying it.

We sure did have ourselves a good ole time near the gorillas. Andrew found some treasures in the bat cave.

Do you see where I'm going with this?

... eh the real gorilla was not amused as well.

Gah! That gator has a hold of Emme's leg! Luckily living in Florida has taught her some mad self defense skills. That could have been ugly.

Andrew had one shell of a time at the zoo...

...heh. Shell of a time... sooo funny.

the end.
